Pretty Stormy

It's that time of year again.  We have a line of storms headed right for us, a ton of lightning, 60 mph wind and pea sized hail.  Ahh, spring time in Oklahoma.  I just strapped down the hot tub cover, brought in the cushions from the patio sectional and the wind chimes, all while listening to the low pitched rumbling thunder.  Both of our dogs get nervous when storms move in so they are stuck to our heels tonight.  I don't believe it will be a bad one once it arrives, but it is getting us in practice for spring time.
My RA is still doing great.  Still have pain from it but it is very low and quite tolerable pain.  I know there is no cure for RA, and controlled is the best I can wish for, but I could get use to this.  I have been working on an adjusted nightshade plan and think that this may play some part in it.  I will share more with you later on what I am doing, especially if I continue to do well.

I am headed in for an outpatient procedure tomorrow morning, hopefully this will help me enjoy life again and get me back on my bike as well.  My KTM is starting to think I have forgot about riding.

Long Time Coming

It has been a while since my last post and I have to admit that my RA is doing great.  I really mean it, I wished it was this controlled all of the time.  But no one said life was easy and so while my RA is almost non-existant at the moment, I now have another medical problem, no ... it's not cancer, but still quite painful.  I am not comfortable talking about it right now, maybe later.  Most likely, by the time this new condition is taken care of ... my RA will rear it's ugly head again.

The worst part is we are now past the 2011 Oklahoma Slip-A-Thon (so much for global warming), all of the ice and snow is gone and the past 10 days have been in the 60's and 70's.  Normally that would be good, but I can not ride right now, even though I did sneak a short ride in last night.  Not in the woods, not even in the forrest, but I still got a short burst of adrenaline to help me for a while.  My KTM was happy last night.

I hope everyone is doing well, I know Lana has been without power, hopefully it is back on now.
